Vines, Wine, Family... A century of history!

White, Rosé, Reds... From grape to bottle

THE WHITES:
The Ugni Blanc was quickly replaced by the Rolle and the Muscat Petit Grain. For the past 30 years, these two grape varieties have been the cornerstones of our white wine, acclaimed for your aperitifs! We have since enriched our blend with the Colombard, which brings its tangy aspect, followed by the Gewürztraminer with its apricot aromas.
Our sweet white wine "Un dimanche d'Automne" is 100% Muscat. Hand-harvested and perfect excuse for a family day, it's a must-try if you haven't tasted it yet!
P.S. Domaine de Tavernel Blanc 2023 has been awarded a Gold Medal at the Feminalise Competition (an exclusively women-judged contest).
THE ROSÉ:
Caladoc, Syrah, and Cinsault have replaced the Aramon from the previous century. They blend their skills in terms of color, generosity, roundness, and fruity aromas.
The Domaine de Tavernel Rosé 2023 won a Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole. A great reward for Thomas, who has greatly improved the quality with the installation of a new press! Rosé is not a blend of white and red wines, as some might think, but a wine in its own right and very delicate to craft...
THE REDS:
Merlot, Cabernet, Caladoc, Syrah, Grenache, Marselan, and soon Malbec. These grape varieties allow us to create 3 red wine blends. The Mas du Petit Azégat (IGP Bouches-du-Rhône) offers a round and consistently full-bodied wine. The Domaine de Tavernel (IGP Gard) aims to be smooth, fruity, and easy to drink. The "Millésime" (IGP Gard), a blend of our best Grenache and Marselan batches, is partly aged in oak barrels and is our premium bottle. Confidentially, our "Coulisses de Tavernel" is a sweet red wine, of which we will say no more... A sulfite-free cuvée is currently in development!
For the 2023 awards: Gold at the Feminalise Competition for the Petit Azégat and Gold at the Concours Général Agricole for the Domaine de Tavernel. Once again, thank you Thomas and the entire team for your hard work!

With us and around us, always with you!

The tasting cellar occupies the former stable of Tavernel, nestled in the heart of the estate. Inaugurated in 1993 and renovated in 2007, we are delighted to welcome you there to taste our wines. As loyal customers, you are the direct link to our work as winemakers.
Year after year, we always have that slight apprehension when presenting you with the new vintage! We also salute all the anonymous Domaine de Tavernel enthusiasts who are loyal to our wines in France and around the world! We exist and persist thanks to all of you...
And after the tasting?
The Domaine de Tavernel is located between Nîmes, Arles, and Avignon. From the Camargue to the Palais des Papes, from the Pont du Gard to the Jardins de la Fontaine, from the Carrières des Lumières to the troglodytic Abbey of Saint Roman, without forgetting "Le Vieux Mas" for your children, our beautiful region is at your disposal and well worth a short stay.
